Just a reminder > Rohingya Crisis: Saving lives that have just begun

Nearly a million Rohingya refugees live in highly cramped spaces in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. Often pregnant women and newborns with complications can´t receive urgent medical care. The lack of quality medical care in the first 28 days can put the survival of the baby at risk. MSF has treated 217 babies in the neonatology ward at our hospital in Goyalmara since October 2018. Newborns in need of assistance have to be referred to specialised facilities quickly. More specialised healthcare is needed in Cox’s Bazar for Rohingya refugees and the local community.
