Constituency Child Marriage Watch-Munali Chapter
Chiefs/ Traditional Leaders play an important role in the fight against Child Marriage , unfortunately we have chiefdom by-laws but most of them are not effective !! There is need to have these by-laws printed and domesticated for the good of a land and safety of a boy/ Girl Child ..
These are the clauses in relation to Child Marriage in Kapijimpanga Chiefdom By-Laws-:
4.3 Child Marriage
4.3.a The Chiefdom will only accept and support 21+ as the age of marriage ;
4.3.b No Child should be forced into marriage
4.3.c Anyone impregnating or disturbing a school girl regardless of age should be reported to the police..
With such By-Laws we are guaranteed of a safe Zambia!!
All Traditional Leaders must join the fight against Child Marriage ????
