(An Executive member of ZAMO and mother to a Beautiful girl with Albinism)
Day 5/13
Worldalbinism awareness month we stand with the world creating awareness that all lives matter different Colour one people.
MY DAY ONE EXPERIENCE WITH THE BIRTH OF MALUMBO (my white princess)
………………………………………………………………………
One would ask me how did u feel when u saw that the baby was white to be honest JULY First Changed my whole perception about motherhood my best midwife delivered this litu jewelry on me instead of her asking me about the sex of the child as usual her first she when on to ask the Colour of her hair and I said white inside my heart I was singing praise and thus the name MALUMBO GRACE I wasn't hurt like other would do o cried instead I rejoiced the midwife was confused I guess she was waiting to see me cry and blame God wch I didn't do but rejoiced
Secondly what was the reaction of my husband when he first saw the girl he feel in love with her the moment he saw the girl held her in his hands and blessed her kissed her forehead and said she's beautiful. as we all know that the majority of women with children with albinism are single mother reason being men relate it to cheating who said so albinism is genetically and it take two to v one there is nothing to relate it with cheating worse u even leave the poor woman who hasnt yet healed from it coz other get depressed but with time the accept that it unchangeable and instead begin to grow in love with the child. Therefore I would like to urge o men to take a lead in creating awareness support your wives especially in the beginning as women turn to need more of ur love during this time and pray for strength to God on how to raise the child especially with a lot of myths surrounding albinism together we can break the bearers
Many times women don't share their experience of being a mother to a child who has albinism to to society and family, it all starts from home,we urge all the women with children with Albinism to love their children and embrace them with love so that they grow up to be unshaken and un-bothered by how society would see them.
We love you Mrs Zodwa, you are an amazing and powerful mother????
