13 million more girls could become child brides in the next 10 years because of COVID-19. We can’t let this happen. Therefore, Her Choice is now required more than ever, says Gerald Kato, coordinator of Her Choice for The Hunger Project Uganda: ‘We see that the COVID-19 pandemic has a major impact on the lives of girls. The Her Choice programme helps us to empower them, so girls don’t become victims, but part of the solution.’
