The widespread abuse of the rights of women and girls continues across the continent, with governments such as Tanzania now backsliding on the little progress they had made in securing women’s human rights and freedoms.
Tanzania prohibits pregnant school girls from attending school both during the pregnancy and even after, trapping them and their children in a circle of poverty. Tanzania has effectively denied teenage mothers a chance to secure their future and contribute to the development of the nation by locking them out of the country’s education system.
This has to stop!!
