AU Campaign to End Child Marriage in Africa
The AU Civil Society Advisory Group and Technical Working Group concluded a meeting this Friday on the Strategic Directions of the AU Campaign 2019 to 2023. The meeting convened by the AU Goodwill Ambassador on Ending Child Marriage Ms Nyaradzayi Gumbonzvanda emphasised the urgency and focus of country and community level actions; a gender and social transformative approach, access to services for girls and a strong accountability and monitoring mechanism. Legal and policy protection mechanism remain key.
