End Child Marriage Malaysia
Why do we say so?
1. Data on child marriage in Malaysia is difficult to access or is scarce despite it being a prevalent issue.
2. We only know that 7 out of 13 states disagrees with the proposal to increase marriageable age to 18 years but we don't know why.
3. The government has committed to end child marriage by increasing marriageable age to 18 years old but there has been no progress update nor has there been substantial action.
