End Child Marriage Malaysia
Budget 2020 was announced a few days back and there were no allocations towards curbing child marriage in Malaysia. Ending Child Marriage is a process that requires financial assistance, especially since the major contributing factor is poverty. Current child brides or grooms may require monetary support to sustain themselves or to obtain the support required to leave their fate behind. We have no homes for victims of child marriage, nor do we have governmental agencies in charge of providing the support required. Monetary allocation towards this cause may have helped in many ways.
Nevertheless, we will continue fighting for the fate of young victims and potential victims of child marriage.
