Ghana Ends Child Marriage
'Operation Get off the Street Now: For a Better Life'
Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection
On Sunday 22nd December, 2018 (at midnight), the ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, led by the Hon. Minister, Mrs Cynthia Mamle Morrison conducted an exercise to take some children off the street as part of the 'Operation Get off the Street Now: For a Better Life'.
The successful exercise, which took place in Accra, saw 25 male children removed from the street and taken to the Madina Social Welfare Shelter.
The exercise was done in collaboration with the ACCRA METROPOLITAN ASSEMBLY.
