‘Training of Police Officers from Gender & Children Desk in management on GBV cases in Ilala Police Region’
“Statistics show that 44% of married women have been sexually & physically abused by their partners” this was stated by the facilitator, Assistant Inspector John D. Simtoule during the training.
The training steered to 35 Police officers on how to handle the Gender Based Violence (GBV). The training aimed at strengthening the capacity of Police officers to be competent to address issues of GBV with communities in Ilala District. The increased capacity of police officers will help enrich & respond to GBV cases in a more professional way.
