“Why allow children to marry at an age when, for example, they do not have the right to vote or enter into other contracts recognised in law?”

Voting age in Malaysia was successfully reduced to 18 years old by our Minister of Youth and Sports and that too at impressive speed. Now when are we going to increase marriageable age to 18 years old?
