Children's Dignity Forum (CDF) in Collaboration with the Minister of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MoHCDGEC) under the support of FORWARD UK & Embassy of Sweden in Dar es Salaamn Dar es Salaam designed a campaign that involved multiple actors at all levels including Government and community to jointly take measures to accelerate action plan to protect girls from early and unplanned pregnancies and secure the future to transform life options of girls in crisis in Tanzania.

The on-going Campaign was reminding the community at large of responsibilities in protecting and defending the rights of the girl Child which involved the police, social welfare officials, community development officials and healthy workers, Government officials and stakeholders.This was a campaign to support the implementation of National Plan of Action on Violence Against Women and Children. All sectors were involved to come together in this campaign of protecting a girl child without forgetting engagement of traditional and religious leaders in making positive changes on Children's Rights.

The campaign was launched with the theme “I am a girl, am Assertive, Education is the real deal.” In Swahili “Mimi ni Msichana, Najitambua, Elimu ndiyo Mpango Mzima”.
