On a more serious note, poverty is one the main cause of child marriages in Malaysia. “Predators” (YES PREDATORS) are aware of this and tend to use it to their advantage.
Which is why one the main aim of END CHILD MARRIAGE MALAYSIA’s campaign is to urge governmental and non-governmental agencies to provide support in terms of financial assistance, mental and emotional support, education and awareness (or at least a platform for “helpless” parents to seek support). It is also our civic duty to assist in any way possible.
