Tanzania Ending Child Marriage Network – TECMN
CDF under the support FORWARD UK & Comic Relief organised a training on Girls Centered Community Outreach, Communication and Advocacy strategies. The training comprised of 19 girls and young women from 5 wards in Tarime District (Susuni, Mwema, Manga, Nkende and Mwatongo).
The objective of the training was to increase knowledge and skills to girls and young women on conducting effective advocacy to bring changes in the community, to empower young women with knowledge on advocacy and how they can engage stakeholders in bringing about changes in the community.
Girls are trained on taking a leading role in ending violence against women and children and not just ending up as victims of VAWC they need to learn on how they can stand up for their rights.
