Ghana Ends Child Marriage
Our End Child Marriage Campaign Ambassador, Baci Gmb paid a courtesy call on Bon Naba Baba Salifu Aleemyarum, Paramount Chief of the Bongo Traditional Area in the Upper East Region of Ghana.
ActionAid recognises the important role chiefs and other traditional authorities play in reducing and eliminating the practice of child marriage in rural communities.
Traditional authorities are usually first responders to incidences of child marriage and other human rights infringements in rural communities, hence ActionAid work with them to ensure human rights promotion and social justice.
