AU Campaign to End Child Marriage in Africa
This week in Lusaka are a number of “mandate holders”, persons designated by the UN or the AU to focus on very specific issues that have direct impact on child marriage.
If you attending the First Africa Girls Summit, look out for the following for dialogue.
– AU Goodwill Ambassador for the Ending Child Marriage
– African Union Special Rapportuer on Ending Child Marriage
-. Africa Special Rapporteur on Women’s Rights in Africa
– UN Special Raportuer on Violence Against Women
– UN Special Rapporteur on Modern Forms of Slavery.
They will hold Egumeni Dialogues with girls and women who have experienced child marriage.
