AU Campaign to End Child Marriage in Africa
The issue of child and early marriages is deep rooted issue in the rural communities of Murewa District, Zimbabwe. The national census done by Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency (ZIMSTATS) indicated that 26% of adolescents girls aged 15-19 years are married and 1,9% are already divorced in the district.
