Being a Samburu girl meant she was only supposed to get “the cut”, get married, and spend her life bearing children and looking after her family.
Today Dr Josephine Kulea, now an anti-female genital mutilation and gender activist, is also the founder and Executive Director of the Samburu GIRLS Foundation. A non-profit organisation working to rescue girls from child marriage, beading and female genital mutilation in Kenya. ????????✨
