Girls Not Brides for End Child Marriage
On #FeministFriday last week, The Mariposa DR Foundation celebrated and shared this beautiful artwork created by Puerto Rican artist, Rosenda Alvarez Faro. The focus of this amazing piece is Wadley, a little girl from Haiti whose story has since inspired girls to become activists and agents of change in their community.
Wadley is a young refugee girl from the devastating 2010 earthquake whose story was captured in the film #GirlRising. Her determination to go to school against all odds continues to be a message of empowerment for girls across the world. ????✨????
