Say NO to Child Marriage
Today Balya Bibah Pratirodh Manch formed by adolescents from Muniguda, Bissam Cuttack, Gudari, Padmapur, Ramanaguda and Gunupur blocks of Rayagada district. In the meeting the adolescents identified the causes of child marriage and proposed some plan of actions to check the child marriage in their areas. At last a forum formed in presence of District Social Welfare officer, Woheeda Begum, District Child Protection officer Ramesh Nayak, Dr. Ramesh Ch Sahu, Superintendent, Sub Divisional Hospital, Gunupur and Child Marriage Prohibition Officers of Muniguda, Bissam Cuttack, Gudari, Padmapur, Ramanaguda and Gunupur blocks of Rayagada district. Santosh Behera from UNICEF joined as resource person to facilitate the adolescents to identify their issues and their aspirations and formulation of action plan. Among of others the team members from Sova Koraput, SAKHA, SAHARA, Balya Bibah Pratirodh Manch, Jagaran, Childline joined and facilitate the adolescents.
