Common initiative saved a girl child from becoming a bride. Today, on July 25, a 14-year-old girl was saved from child marriage.
In the morning, Chetan Upadhyay of Sathya Foundation informed us that a minor girl from Dubepur village of Jalalpur police station in Jaunpur district is going to have a child marriage, on the one hand she was given the number of all the concerned officers on the other side, and on the other hand, Jaunpur itself DM, Varanasi Division Deputy CPO. Information was given to Mr. Praveen Kumar Tripathi, District Probation Officer of Jaunpur, Mr. Santosh Kumar Soni, Child Protection Officer Mr. Chandan Rai etc.
Taking immediate cognizance of the incident, he directed the child protection officer Jaunpur and at the same time Chetan ji of Satya Foundation continued to make efforts at his level with the police and other officials. The joint initiative of the two institutions, District Child Protection Unit Jaunpur and Jaunpur Police, prohibited the marriage of the 14-year-old girl who was saved from being a child bride and the father and groom’s side, sitting in the police station only after the girl turns 18. .
