“I’m really worried about this COVID-19 pandemic because I live in a congested area where the majority of people living here are very poor. This pandemic, the way it’s spreading very fast, if it reaches here, many people will be infected, and it will be very difficult to control it” – Rose, 19, young activist at Dzaleka Refugee Camp in Malawi.
People living in refugee and displacement camps are particularly vulnerable to COVID-19 due to overcrowding, lack of nutrition and water, and poor health facilities.
